ABOUT US
Manto is more than a retreat space to me.
It is a vision that grew out of a very personal longing: to create a place where people can slow down enough to truly reconnect — with themselves, with nature and with life around them.
When I first arrived here in the hills of northwest Corfu, something about this place touched me deeply — especially the name itself. In Greek mythology, Manto was known as a seer connected to intuition and inner vision. The idea of people beginning to truly “see” again became part of the deeper inspiration behind this place.
Today, so many people move through life disconnected from themselves, overwhelmed by constant stimulation, stress and pressure. I have witnessed how quickly people can soften and reconnect when they are given the right environment: nourishing food, movement, nature, silence, meaningful conversations, deep rest and the feeling of being genuinely held. Sometimes it is something very simple. Someone arrives exhausted, emotionally distant, caught in routines and responsibilities — and after only a few days surrounded by nature, breathwork, yoga, stillness and slower living, something begins to shift. The eyes soften. The nervous system settles. Presence returns. This experience shaped my vision for Manto profoundly.
At the heart of this vision is also a deeply personal connection to family, caregiving and holistic wellbeing across different stages of life. Inspired in part by experiences within my own family — including raising and supporting my beloved granddaughter with special needs — Manto carries the wish to create a place where people can feel supported, nourished and gently guided back into connection with themselves and the world around them.
My intention is not only to host beautiful retreats, but to slowly build a space that supports genuine regeneration in a deeper and more human way. A place where movement, nature, conscious rest, nervous system regulation, community and wellbeing can naturally come together. Located directly along the Corfu Trail and surrounded by olive groves, sea air and the quiet beauty of the Ionian landscape, Manto welcomes many different kinds of experiences and people. Some arrive through yoga retreats, others through hiking, movement practices, creative workshops, breathwork or simply the need to pause and breathe differently again.
Yoga has always been an important part of my own path, but never in a narrow or exclusive way. I believe wellbeing can take many forms — from deep stillness and meditation to hiking, functional movement, sound healing, community, laughter or simply sitting quietly under the olive trees.
The vision for Manto continues to evolve organically and with intention. Over time, I hope to expand the space further into holistic and restorative wellbeing experiences that combine movement, longevity, conscious health, nature and genuine care in a grounded and accessible way. The foundation of this vision is also shaped by years of personal training and experience in holistic practices including yoga, meditation, breathwork, relaxation techniques, hormone yoga, sound healing, Reiki, movement-based practices for children and families, as well as a deep interest in nervous system health, conscious living and preventative wellbeing.
More than anything, I want Manto to feel human. A place where people can exhale, reconnect, feel inspired and remember that another rhythm of life is possible.
